All Akuaviva semi-precious stone and recycled are real, and ethically sourced from fair trade suppliers around the globe. Nothing else in the jewelry world comes close to matching the beauty of authentic natural stones has to offer, which is why they are the main feature on many of our pieces.

Due to the nature of gemstones each one will vary in color and cut that is what make them UNIQUE!. We do our best to keep them as close to the image as possible but don't be surprised if they vary a little from what is listed.

Recycled Glass imported from the shores of West Africa, Ghanaian glass has become an essential element in our designs. This sustainable glass is still made by hand and comes in three recycled varieties- translucent, powdered, and painted.

Gold Filled

Is a beautiful more affordable alternative to solid gold as it is a genuine layer of gold permanently bonded onto base metal either brass or copper. It is extremely durable, won't chip or flake, is tarnish resistant'. It looks great and with proper care. Can also be worn by people with sensitive skin since its 100% Hypoallergenic, Lead and nickel free. Gold Filled can tarnish over time, however, it can easily be cleaned! All of our gold-filled materials are sourced from certified sellers in the USA.

Gold Vermeil

Similarly to gold filled, gold vermeil constitutes a base metal and a layer of gold bonded to the outside. However, unlike gold filled, gold vermeil always uses sterling silver. This method of gold plating is done via electroplating the gold to the silver - binding the two metals together.

Both gold filled and gold vermeil can last for years with proper care. This means it is less likely to fade, tarnish, or wear off like cheap gold plated jewelry.

Sterling Silver

Sterling Silver is a metal that has been used to make all kinds of valuable goods for thousands of years. Is a precious metal, like gold and platinum and will stamp the jewelry with 925 to indicate metal.

Stainless Steel

It is a strong, durable and rust-resistant jewelry. It typically has a silver sheen, but, unlike silver, it will not corrode and it not susceptible to scratches, dings or dents.It contains nickel so if you are allergic this type of jewelry will not be a good choice.

Our Bracelets

Most of our bracelets are double stranded for extra security with high performance stretch cord or adjustable. We recommend gently rolling bracelets on and off to prevent breakage. We use great quality gold filled beads, gold vermail, .925 sterling silver for our jewelry, however when stated, stainless steel, brass or gold plated may be used alongside the gold filled beads.

For the metals, all options are nickel free and naturally hypo-allergenic for most people, unless you have an extreme allergy and can only wear solid gold.
